Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood
En 1969, l'acteur de télévision Rick Dalton et son ami et doublure, le cascadeur Cliff Booth, sont totalement perdus dans une industrie du cinéma en pleine mutation. Ils ne comprennent plus cette Cité des anges qui voit l'émergence du mouvement hippie et l'arrivée cauchemardesque du gourou Charles Manson. Tout en croisant Steve McQueen et Bruce Lee, Dalton et Booth se noient dans la bière et les verres de whisky, et peinent à trouver des contrats. Non loin de la propriété de Rick Dalton, la jeune actrice Sharon Tate, femme du réalisateur Roman Polanski, vient de partager l’affiche avec Dean Martin dans une comédie intitulée «Matt Helm règle son comte»...
